« “Stand By Every Ad Act” Would Force CEOs To Say “I Stand By This Message”
BREAKING: Sen. Shelby of Alabama Halts Entire Nomination Process »
First NBC looked silly (and intelligence challenged) for creating the widely publicized Jay Leno-Conan O’Brien mess. Now there’s a less publicized tidbit that raises some eyebrows again — although this is a smaller part of NBC.
UPDATE: The controversial sign was removed.
I guess Fuzzy Zoeller was in charge of the menu.
The restaurant is probably run by a contractor. In the link, the black cooked talked about cooking what he like and they had done it last year. There is nothing wrong with chicken, greens, dirty rice, and corn bread. I guess the black cooks at the NBC Commissary were not acting in an approved method.
While I understand the problem with the menu perpetuating a stereotype, as SD says this was a black cook coming up with a menu she herself enjoyed and foods she wanted people to try. Heck the food sounds pretty good to me and I would have tried it if I was going through the line.
Seems like an opportunity for better understanding was sacrificed in the name of PC.
That is an awesome phrase. It sums up so much of what goes on these days.
DaGoat,
If I would have going through a corporate food court that you would been offering the meal, I probably would have take it except for the greens. It is very similar to the meat and three sides that is very common in the south.
Of course it's largely Southern!
I got this book for my liberal friend in DC a couple of years ago.
