9/11 Memorial To Cost Nearly $1 Billion?

No, it’s not a joke. That’s what the costs are looking like for the NYC tribute.

Is this irresponsible? Or should price not be a barrier?

Sean Aqui shares his thoughts.

I’m sure someone else caught this but last week Penn &Teller’s Bullshit (one of the best shows on TV in my opinion) covered the whole fiasco that is the 9/11 Memorial. As usual the comedic duo broke through all the BS and red tape and got the real dirt about the memorial. I would recommend anyone with cable to try to watch this show. Unfortunately from watching that show it appears that the cost of the memorial is not the only issue at hand. Local business owners and victim family members are not pleased with George Pataki and his handling of the memorial. Here we are, over four years since the event, and almost nothing has been done…

I saw the show (never miss it)

Penn and Teller are much like Colbert in that they skewer both sides of the aisle.

What is going on with the 9/11 memorial is disgusting.

The entire board should be dissolved and it needs to be placed in the hands of professionals, 9/11 family members and members of the local biz community.

Pataki should be ashamed of himself.
