At least the Obama cult-worshipper groupies have an advantage over Edwards groupies. Obama hasn't been as bad (in addition to being consistent with pathological PC white progressive “guilt” and reverse-discriminatory “identity politics,” unlike Edwards, who merely was a Dem who uttered bogus populist stuff to appeal to cheap Dem voters). Edwards was simply cute, charming, and spoke well.
John Edwards is an emancipator of women and champion of the poor. His sexual exploits are as irrelevant as they are everywhere else on the planet and throughout history. Leave your puritan condemnation for burning witches at the stake.

I really don't care much of what happens in Edward's personal life. Its between him, his former wife and his mistress as far as I'm concerned. I wish them all luck in rebuilding their lives after some bad choices. I try to keep my criticisms as best I can to areas that impact me, this whole thing doesn't. That applies to Clinton, Sanford, Spitzer, etc. as well.

An indiscretion requires both a male and a female, (a same sex sexual act is an indiscretion in and of itself therefore an irrelevant comparison). There is no room for one gender to propel one above the other. A social contract failed. That’s the end of it. Judge not, less ye be judged if you so believe, but that would be irrelevant also IMO.
No one knows what the man’s wife is like. No one knows what their life together is like. I do not believe that the religious vows, “till death do us part” are reasonable oaths in today’s world. People separate and search for new relationships on a regular basis. The Victorian era is dead. If you want to live this way fine, but do not condemn others for finding a different path to happiness. With only one life, why waste it on gratuitous “keeping the family together” crapola?
