Newt must be visiting a synagogue in this photo!

As a religious Jew, I strongly support most efforts by the ACLU. When I can afford to do, so I will renew my membership in the ACLU.

Is Newt courting the religious right to get the Republcian nomination in ’08? Interesting that candidates that you don’t normally associate with “God, gays and guns” like McCain, Giuliani and now even Newt are reaching out to the religious community. Too bad Newt forgot about Christian family values when he decided to present his wife, who was suffering with cancer, with divorce papers, as she wasn’t pretty or young enough to be a president’s wife!

What was that thing about casting the first stone? I forgot it kritter, and maybe you did too…

I don’t know about you guys, but it’s my RESPONSIBILITY to be judgmental.

The main group endangering religion are these self appointed defenders.

I agree, Charles, and I’m tired of hypocrites like Tom Delay promoting these family values issues, while under indictment in Texas, and under investigation for lobbying abuses in Washington. True Christians don’t shove their religion down the throat of others.

Bill Clinton was impeached for violating the “family values” code, while Newt, who was also cheating on his wife, was given a pass. Conservative commentators never let us forget Clinton’s trespasses, so why shouldn’t we bring up the hypocrisy of the Christian right? This country has more urgent issues to deal with than gay marriage, flag burning, and prayer in school, and our representatives need to deal with them instead of this false “war on Christianity”.

How about we talk about policy and politics, instead of Gawd so much?
