Seeing The Red, White And Blue At Immigration Rallies

Alan Stewart Carl has this observation:

And I think average Americans will respond positively to crowds waving the American flag. Hopefully the demonstrators will continue to show their desire to be here with such patriotic fervor. If the reaction of average Americans is positive enough, our leaders will feel much more obliged to keep our compassion intact as they craft new immigration laws.

They better be waiving our flag–especially if they are asking for citizenship.

  2. Pyst says:

PR move after the last round of more honest flag waving they did is all this is. Apparently they heard the critisism about their choice of flags, and simply grabbed ours instead for this round. Faux patriotism is all it is now.

Pyst: now I’m scratching my head trying to come up with a clever quip about Duke Cunningham’s view of the flag …

How could anyone be duped by this display? Oh, yeah, I guess someone was.

Just a week ago they were marching with their countries’ flags and shouting “Mexico! Mexico!” Now that they’ve got some PR pros, they’re being told to keep the Mexican flags at home and then they’re being given American flags to wave.

Seriously, this site does itself no great service by taking things like this exactly as they were meant to be seen by the organizers.

Robert, that anti-flag burning thing was crap too, I don’t do patriotism very well in the GOP’s eye with the love of the Iraq war and watching Faux Snooze, and buying of Coulter an O’Reilly books….and lobotomy’s.

I prefer Gadsen’s flag, but defend it from being burned…nah that’s childish just like Duke when his butt was off to prison hehe.
