I “sort of” agree with that statement, Stockboy. Everyone should stand behind our President, regardless of party. He is OUR President, whether or not you agree with him. However, Limbaugh's wish for his “failure” was a desire to see his “socialist policies” fail, as Limbaugh feels (as do most Conservatives) that socialism itself is “traitorous”. Not saying I totally agree with them – as I believe that capitalism does not belong in certain areas (police, fire protection, education, medicine, and the like).

I totally agree, Spirasol. Two wrongs do not make a right. Both sides need to stop this partisan crap – Conservatives like Limbaugh as well as Liberals.

They're rich Southerners who want your government to enforce their Bible against YOU. One of their leaders is Judge Moore who was the chief judge on the Alabama Supreme Court. He carved their 10 commandments on the wall of the courthouse or tried.

I think that when a person is ill or hurt we can absolutely wish for the best possible outcome for them. There are serious changes and challenges that occur when we come close to the Spectre. I've had more than one serious brush with death myself. In those times, all bets are off as far as ego goes. The strength to live is not posited in ego, but in spirit, body, soul, animating life force.

The learnings that come for many in critical times, will likely be far more than just publicly expressed and p.r. gratitude to the helping professionals and Mr. Limbaugh's 'fans.' There may be other changes required of a person who has been handed back their life.

For Mr. Limbaugh, it will be perhaps a hard call between doing what others want him to do for them, and what his own heart and soul truly wants to do for his own life.

This is just my two cents worth. It's not an apologia. It's just a thought from one who has definitely been the subject of some of Mr. Limbaugh's lashing out. But I've also seen his humanity behind the scenes. In hospital he is not Rush Limbaugh the conservative talk host. In hospital he is just a human being who has been scared half to death.

And with that in mind, I send forth to Rush Limbaugh the exact same sentiments that he has projected outwards towards the goodwill of others.

May he succeed in recovery in exact proportion to how well he wished our sitting president [and by extentsion, our nation and the world] would succeed during his term in office. No more and no less.

May the highest good come forth for Rush and each of you this coming year.

Rallying one's ranks to promote good, honest values one believes in is one thing. Publicly wishing for the president to fail and the country to continue its hard times so the Republicans can regain power is traitorous.

If you love your country, why should you care if he dies? If you are Liberal, or, even Moderate, he certainly wishes the same for you and has said as much many times. What is laughable is that he has even said such things about selected Conservatives!

It is stunningly amazing the power an entertainer and mass media have over a nation. Nothing propagandized has to be true at all, just delivered by an unscrupulous propaganda artist.
