Stupid. In the real world, men of color are given extra attention at airport security. Grandma and the rest of the Caucasian populace are checked to give the impression of fairness and equal treatment and to make other Caucasians feel more secure. It's hard to play the victim when you sit on top of the pyramid.

If we had an epidemic of caucasian grandmas blowing themselves up to kill innocent people, I'd be the first to applaud the TSA's being a little more security conscious when they attempted to board a plane. However…. We do have an epidemic of “men of color” trying to kill innocents through suicide.
Let me give you an example. Let's say a Jewish Chinese Midget rang your doorbell, and when you answered, punched you squarely in the nose, then left. The next day, another Jewish Chinese Midget rang your doorbell, and punched you squarely in the nose again when you answered. This happens another three days in a row. Would you open the door again on the 6th day when another Jewish Chinese Midget came to your door? Would you be prepared? Would you assume that THIS Jewish Chinese Midget may not be violent?
The fact of the matter, you would at least be prepared and duck when the eventual blow came. As for me, they'ed have a shotgun in their face on the sixth day. It is VERY easy to play the victim on top of the pyramid – when the very same “profile” commits the same act over and over and over.

I would wonder what I've done to Jewish Chinese Midgets to make more than one of them attack me, seemingly, unprovoked. If I broke into a Jewish Chinese Midget's house and taken his milk and cookies, kissed his wife, slapped his kids and kicked his dog, I would know not to answer my door without expecting to be punched in the nose. Being a Jewish Chinese Midget, he would need a ladder to punch me in the nose and since I am bigger and stronger and the instigator of the beef between the Jewish Chinese Midget, I would also take the necessary steps to protect myself. I however would not act like I don't understand the Jewish Chinese Midget's anger toward me. I would apologize for my actions and stay out of his home and away from his family.
This world and this country doesn't belong to one group or race of people. We are neighbors. It's completely stupid and unjustified to kill innocent civilians of a country because you disagree with their policies. It's also stupid and wrong to think you can dominate the world with your policies and military might, cause suffering and pain throughout the world and not be hated. The Western world has raped and pillaged the rest of the world throughout history and continue to do so. We enjoy a quality of life that comes from the sweat and blood of the rest of the world. The Iran-Contra Affair, the Afghan War vs Russia, the genocide and fighting going on in Rwanda and the Congo areas, the Iran vs Iraq war, are all conflicts where the Western world sold weapons, looted natural resources, supported despot leaders….on and on. The U.S. and Brittan have military bases on every continent in this world. Their fingerprints are on every war and disturbance
throughout the world. There is more than enough guilt to spread around to every nation in this world.
While people in this country rightfully grieves the loss of life during the 9-11 attacks, many have no problem with the 100's of thousands of lives lost during the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. People don't even think about the millions of lives lost Africa. Meanwhile their natural resources are being pillaged for goods being sold in the Western world, and their people being killed and raped, because of divisions created by Colonial powers. I know these words are falling on deaf ears and maybe a hard heart. Take an interest in history and research this stuff for yourself.

While you make some valid points (especially the ladder), I think the main point, here in this thread, is that we need to “focus” (sorry if I stole a politician's favorite word) on the suspects with the highest probability of being potential perpetrators rather than bending over backwards, and wasting time, over screening less likely suspects. Your empathy is appreciated, however.

Let's say they attacked you because your lawn ornaments were the wrong color. As for Muslims, they are very much correct in many respects as far as our being the “great satan”. Humanism and unGodly behavior is quickly becoming the norm in western society. Does that give them the right to attack innocent people? Absolutely not. In fact, if they would keep their attacks toward our military, it would be more understandable (USS Cole, etc). Although it was a cowardly attack, the USS Cole is a legitimate military target. Not so with airline attacks and the like. Keep in mind that Muslims' Jihad is a religious call to fight infidels when they attack within your nation. They have perverted that call to a justification of the killing of innocents.
