I’m Not Phil Ochs Anymore

I believe the struggle for universal agreement is unfair. So cry me a river, and love me, because I’m a (strong) liberal.

The updated cover of Love Me I'm a Liberal is clever but hardly a match for the original which I was privileged to hear him perform in person back in the day.

I agree. I went slightly crazy trying to find Phil Ochs singing the song, but I couldn't. This was the best of several bad covers.

LOL There's hope for you yet. Maybe even an appreciation for the MC5 and John Sinclair...

Despite his hard core Marxism, mental problems, and drug abuse, Phil Ochs was one of the most talented singers and writers this nation has ever seen. The updated cover of Love Me I'm a Liberal is clever but hardly a match for the original which I was privileged to hear him perform in person back in the day. Promise not to tell anyone, but I still listen to I Ain't A'marching Anymore, just because of the tune and the way he belted it out.
