Invade Mexico…heh…
Mexico has all the natural resources any country could need. And God knows they have the hardest-working population on planet Earth. What they lack is competent government, Protestantism and self-confidence. And here we are with a surplus of the last two.

Good Idea, except Bush would manage to screw that up also. Maybe the next president (if we have one) could do it.
Didn’t we already do that in 1846? In fact, we took half the country. The reason we didn’t take the other half in 1848 was because white American Protestants thought the more populous Southern half of the country was unassimilable.

Then you never worked with the Mexicans I worked with. I found them to assimilate in one key way, the ability to mimick the american slacker to a tee.
