The Republican Party better hope that Lou Dobbs doesn’t run. I truly believe that the Republican Party would have little chance of winning in 2008 if he was in the race. His positions on illegal immigration and anti-globalism would take a decent portion of the Republican base. He’s smart and good on television. He appeals to voters who used to vote Democratic and have voted Republican the last 20 years. These voters are currently being ignored by both parties. They are currently enraged by the Republican elites and pundits and see the Democrats as a poor alternative. They are looking for a home.
I’d vote for Lou.
