K. Gregory, it’s all laid out plain as day in the Book of Hezekiah. Check your Bible, or Tanakh.

“I read the Book of Hezekiah, you read it, too…”

You can always tell those familiar with their scripture by the looks you get after singing that line. It’s a riot!

In case anybody hasn’t caught on, yet, this is all in jest, including (especially) the “going to Hell” line. There also is no Book of Hezekiah, though it sure sounds like it should be in there, somewhere.

No, Brian, we do not believe in Hell. But we also don’t believe Heaven is a paradise. In Judaism, people must obey God’s commandments or they will suffer punishment on this earth, not in the afterworld. But Holly could probably give more detail on this as she is considerably more devout than I.

Well, Joe is a comedian, after all. He probably just couldn’t pass up the visual one-liner, even if he’s going to Hell because of it.

Which brings up a question. Does mainline Jewish theology even recognize a Hell?
