Facebook Mafia

College security teams are using Facebook to investigate their students. Sketchy, or fair use?

If you publish on the internet you *have* no privacy.

How stupid are these kids, that they think they can boast about breaking the rules and yet face no consequences?

Reminds me of the people who were shocked that someone might be looking at video of them walking down the street. It’s as if a place is sufficiently public, people get this sense that it’s actually private. Hiding in plain sight works in some instances, but I wouldn’t bet my college career on it.

  3. Total fair use – but those of us who are smart can still outsmart the security teams with ease. Sheebus – I’m in so many [Facebook] groups related to alcohol usage yet completely unperturbed by it – I mean, if I get caught, it’s my fault, right?
