They could be trying to see what they can get away with, in general, leaving aside what may be involved about Congress wanting the President's help getting health care legislation passed — or is the relation and the dependency the other way, making this move even more self-destructive?

It may be they are out of touch, as well as overdoing it, again, just as they were with trying to suppress dissent earlier, and openly attacking Fox to the point Fox's many media enemies objected to it (for they were next).

there’s huge differences between what they say out on the campaign trail. Their talking points get spun into totally different and opposing games. But once they get in office…

Your friend is right on the money, Jazz. No difference. You know, when some of our citizens attain high rank in political office, parts of their brains shut down and liquidate. Valerie Jarrett is suffering from “liquidation of da brain”. Something tells me she had a LARGE part in this decision. As my wife said, “She looking out for her girl, babe.” In other words, covering for a friend. Uhh… Not in a situation like this Ms. Jarrett.
