I actually agree with you here, I was just making a crack, but to be honest I see no good way to deal with Afghan. Personally I think he should go all in and go all in hard for political reasons but feel we should pull out completely in the interests of our nation and our fiscal security. Away from Afghan things will be bad sometimes and things have been good before 1/20/09 as well but some of my conservative friends seem to have lost all sense of reality and I will mock that every chance I get until they stop since talking sense to them has been an abject failure.

I should have noted my heavy sarcasm there though and also been more plain that BO=Before Obama and AO=After Obama. It probably would have been seen as sarcasm then, unless people already think I am 9 years old. Awaiting a witty comeback from Leo in 3…2…1…

If we wanted to be successful in Afghanistan, we wouldn’t choose to start from where we are now. We wouldn’t have put this war on the back burner for so long, and we would have dealt much earlier with the debilitating deficiencies of President Hamid Karzai’s government.

Well that begs an observation that would be all too obvious if not for the fact that history did not exist prior to 1/20/09.

I would love a tax that would be used exclusively (no loop holes please) for the medical, rehabilitative and educational and financial benefit of the troops. Try and get one, though.

I think a sur-tax is a GREAT idea. You can't have war without sacrifice and the troops shouldn't be the only ones asked to pay.
