Appreciate your military service and perspective as such Mr. Murphy. I also get perspective from some other friends of mine in the military,, active and inactive, from the Marines, the Air Force, Army and Navy. Some have a perspective as former soldiers, some as active troops currently in the field, and even on from the Pentagon. Some agree with your analysis, most don;'t. That doesn't mean your wrong, but it means your views as a former marine are balanced by those of others I know. John Murtha was a former Marine, but he was wrong about the surge. Your experiences give you credibility, but not a monopoly on the military view.

That being said

Truman National Security Project.
http://www.trumanproject.org/

The Truman National Security Project is a national security leadership institute, the nation's only organization that recruits, trains, and positions a new generation of progressives across America to lead on national security.

Our mission is to provide the skills, knowledge, and network to create an influential force of leaders across the country who advance strong progressive national security policy.

This is an organization as biased as the PNAC on the other side.

Advisory Board

Madeleine K.
there are no "stakes'. The only "stakes" are the ones we create in our head. Pull the troops out now and leave these people to their own medevil hell. Nobody cares.
