There is a U.S. connection that hasn't received any mention in any of the major newspapers here. The FBI arrested a David Coleman Headly at O'Hare in October as he was catching a flight to Philadelphia and then on to Pakistan. Headly is suspected of being involved in planning attacks in Denmark and also the Mumbai attacks. I saw a few snippets of this on CNN. The best part, in my opinion (I saw parts of it) was the hospital interview by intelligence agents of the surviving terrorist.
