Chinese Netizens Have ‘Sharp Words’ for President Obama: Global Geographic Times, China

According to China’s state-run Global Geographic Times, the state-controlled Internet chat rooms are filled with tough questions for, and sharp criticism of, President Obama. On his Global Geographic Times blog page, a man named Tian Yifeng lays out some of the comments and explains why they show the insight of Chinese Netizens. The topics of the comments run the gamut, from economics, to history, to human rights campaigners like the Dalai Lama. Here are just a few:

“For the press conference, I’ve prepared a shoe to throw at you. Please choose Nike or Adidas.”

“Brother Obama, how come the United States always has trade friction with us? Why are you limiting exports to our developing country? … Didn’t Lincoln teach you how to be a good president?”

“Money is loaned to you, and then it’s burned to ashes in your country. … What steps are you taking to ensure that China’s money (particularly bonds of U.S. government debt) is safe? … In fact, at this moment you are applying for bankruptcy protection.”

Dear China: Learn to be civilized. Until then....Bite me.

Well, Obama did field a question about Taiwan and cross-strait relations; I'm surprised the student who asked the question didn't refer to "counter-revolutionary splittists" (or "tea-baggers," a US synonym).

He'll look good and talk nicey-nicey, probably, just as he did toward China while in Japan(!). As one guy described it, Obama will do his part to look like a nice, typical provincial Chinese official, suitably amiable and deferential toward the Great Ones in Beijing (who are buying his debt and US dollars).

The funniest thing about this is that NOW someone has to come out and call the Chinese neo-con racists for their feelings on Obama.

    LOL - That's rich!

No these comments like many here stateside, maybe even right here at TMV, are those of the chinese version of government ops posing as bloggers, common joes etc. Don't forget that China is communist still and seeing Obama's success with the masses here and his momentum and popularity are all of themselves a direct threat to any established and iron-fist maintained government. They HAVE to look critical of him, or at least impart to their masses that there is something to not be liked about him/America/freedom. And what better way to do that than on the internet where the common joes mingle?

Consider the source. *waits for Faux "News" to not consider the source and instead interpret the comments as a direct refleciton of how "bad" a president Obama is*...lol...
