I can't wait to see this movie. I love end of the world disaster movies. I don't care how bad they are- I still enjoy them. I can't wait to see LA destroyed; fun!

The SF Chronicle review loved this movie. Maybe because LA was destroyed, though he didn't mention anything about it in his review.

Aside from the diseased peanut-gallery griping about my disparaging of hype and nonsense, it's a sad time when NASA feels led (which itself is sad, for related reasons) to post material debunking the sad or sick reactions to the hype and nonsense.

By the way, “Lysenkoism” would be appropriate if you were describing the approach to science taken by those who share your beliefs (and disbeliefs), but in your rush to project the sins of your own ideology onto others you got it exactly backwards. . . again.

It will be a long time before libs stop being anti-science and anti-technology. And hijacking and corrupting science for liberal political uses, like “global warming” Lysenkoism, earns no respect from and among the respectable.

Let the hard-core libs and Dems continue to be the kinds who want school showings and “study kits” for not only Oliver Stone movies but “An Inconvenient Truth” but also “The Da Vinci Code” and “2012.” It's people like that who actually lead NASA to stooping to publish (broadcast) reassurances that “2012,” too, is not real. [rolling eyes]

And people in LA who are the object of envy from elsewhere can say again, “FU and your snow shovel.”
