More and more people are saying it's obvious he's taking too long, but I remain in the minority — there is no need to rush (look at what the Dems have rushed to do all year, so far — aieee!), and there is no easy and no good choice that he can make. In my opinion, logically he has until, and should be left alone until, there is a resolution soon about the Afghan government, at least. That gives him time to look at the issues we face: Afghanistan vs. Pakistan, committing all our reserves now or retaining some (for what, where?), and so on. In the meantime, there are domestic affairs and Dim floundering to correct here at home, don't forget.

I do not envy President Obama in this decision.
I'm personally glad he is giving this some long, hard, serious thought.

1. Give McCrystol the troops with a clear strategy for victory and clear goals.
2. Bring ALL troops home immediately.
