Well if your a jew that can get behind bombing the Palestinians on the Sabbath [remember last late December, during their holy days], then eating a ham sandwich isn't really going to make a difference where you're headed..
I know the previous post was meant to be sarcastic, but there actually is an exception to Sabbath observance for participation in a just war. To be clear, the real issue from a Jewish perspective is whether the war is just (and conducted justly). Not whether the war is on the Sabbath.
