DLS, your post reminds me of the proverb: "Before you drown your dog, you say it has fleas." What you say is plausible. I wonder whether Obama has the stomach for the fight. His timing right not would not be good, in-light of the Fort Hood shootings. People are angry (whether rightly or wrongly) that fourteen are dead, and apparently, at least in-part, because of a Muslim extremist in our ranks.

"McChrystal's recommendations went to the SOD on August 30th. How much longer do we give these guys?"

Is it, with ObamaCo and some lib Congre-Dems, a matter of sufficient rationalization for their position?

Their media auxiliaries include CNN (Clearly Not Neutral), who just coincidentally chose to put on the air a critic of the military's handling of the Pat Tillman incident, whose work about this and who was on the air, on NPR, weeks ago. Weeks ago. Why was he resurrected and put on the air once again, with an emphasis in doing so to attack McChrystal in particular (a systematized ad hominem argument form, in opposition to sending more troops to, and doing more in, Afghanistan)? What interesting as well as such coincidental timing and opportunism, I noticed.

Good to have Obama's steady hand at the helm on this. Steady as in well, catatonic.

McChrystal's recommendations went to the SOD on August 30th. How much longer do we give these guys?
