Kathy – These are two of my favorite musicians. The Tapestry album is an absolute treasure, As for KD Lang, one listen to her rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah and you will never ever forget it.

Great music Kathy… jdledell… thank you. kd has such a powerful full range voice. I'm always surprised when people ask – “kd who?”
She was one of the 'back up' singers at the “Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night” concert and she was fortunate enough to sing a duet with Roy before he died…”Crying”
And, since jdledell mentioned Leonard Cohen here's his “Anthem” … it's an anthem that could do everybody some good.
I saw that video at YouTube, didn't listen to it yet, but I will. If it's even equal to Jeff Buckley's version, much less better, I'll be impressed.
I had the privilege of hearing Carole King perform at Chastain Park in Atlanta a few years ago. She is incredible! kd lange is another favorite of mine. Hearing her sing is like a spiritual experience for me.
I heard her perform at the Beacon Theater in New York City many years ago. I'll never forget it.

Great Kathy… An occasional (or regular) open thread or lighter side of life post would let us all see that there's more to all of us than political opinions and dogma.
Patrick does this from time to time and maybe a regular 'TGIF thread' or 'Saturday Night Light' would help us all get some of the calluses off all of our knuckles.
