It was also a referendum, no, not on Obama solely, but on the Dems in general -- but it was not a GOP vote, despite the big GOP victories that counted. (In the most remarkable result, New Jersey, it was exceptional as well, as the voters were preoccupied most not with the economy and jobs, which was by far issue #1 nation-wide, but with corruption and high property taxes.) Even the protest about things going badly currently isn't going to be seen completely as an anti-Dem vote; the far left is already decrying poor turnout among some of the most active Obama voters last year (such as the youth vote) and wants the Dems to resume and make more, not less "progress." Doing something about the current issues that affect the nation (first and foremost being the economy and jobs; a distant second is health care; everything else recedes into relative insignificance currently, compared to the major two issues) remains what people want, and this vote may be interpreted generally as dissatisfaction by everyone (anti-Dem voters and low-turnout Dem voters who were amotivated or demotivated). I understand completely. I’m much older and should, by all indications, find her at least somewhat attractive. I don’t what-so-ever. Something about her odd shaped head with posterior face that really puts me off. Intellectually, I suspect that she is on crack.
