Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates and Cambridge police Sergeant James Crowley were spotted at a pub in Cambridge Wednesday night.
The owner of “River Gods” told WBZ the two sat in a booth together and talked for about an hour.

That is kinda cool. Wouldn't it be freakish if they ended up being close friends. Gates helping Crowley in training people in cultural sensitivity as a case study if nothing else and Crowley being invited regularly to speak to his classes. I will put down my flowers and hugs now but this is still a good thing to hear. Some of the best friends you will ever meet in your life often begin with intense hatred or misunderstandings only to turn into life long friendships later.
It's a pleasant surprise, in more ways than one. (Not that they were together — that's no big surprise.)

Wait a minute! Does that mean Dick Cheney and I will be good pals one day? ..lol..

This isn't that suprising since both men sat down with president Obama a while back and talked out thier differences.
I just can't see Cheney closing the place down and then apologizing to Sil for Big Oil's mischief.
Its cool, but its kinda a shame that it would take a President to bring the two men together. He kinda has more important things to do, ….well at least until he sticks his foot in his mouth and pre judges the police.
