There won't be peace so long as Israel's enemies refuse to accept it and insist on destroying it.

That other Arab nations will continue to exploit the refugees as political pawns is no surprise at all.

As for nationalism, it's so typical for leftists to disparage nationalism and the nation-state (except where they prefer authoritarian government of all kinds, as well as submission of viable nations to something larger and more collectivist, namely world government), while they find it convenient as Hitler did in the past, to use sometimes as a political weapon, as often the case with the concept of a Palestinian state.

Spencer seems to be avoiding the fairly obvious point that no matter how many Palestinians there are in the West Bank and Gaza, they cannot gain citizenship without Israeli consent. Thus, they cannot force Israel to choose between being a democracy and being a Jewish homeland.

Sadly, it is entirely possible for millions of Palestinians to go on living in stateless limbo as they have for the past 40 years.

Also, I'm perfectly glad to take the "pro-Israel" label away from those who don't want it. If someone with Catholic parents says he is an atheist who rejects organized religion, would I still insist on describing him as Catholic?
