No you missed the point. I did not write a poem. I simply stated fact. Love is irrelevant and certainly not permanent. It is only an emotion that attaches humans for procreation or protection.

We humans are pitted against the reality of the universe. We wish the universe loved because that would give us comfort, but love is only between humans. In reality emotions and even life itself is insignificant to the universe. The universe does not comfort. The universe creates and destroys and we need to learn how to get out of it’s way in order to survive. The odds are pitifully morbid that we even have the slightest chance.

Thank you Dr. E.. . . always your heart is there in the rain and in the sunshine for the "little people". . .

these images leave us the legacy of memory burned into hearts and minds that can hopefully seize voices that can speak; no more. . .

I have a very similar picture saved from when Cheney ran the place officially of a little dead Palestinian girl before that picture was quickly removed from the website I got it from. I have it in my picture files where I don't see it every day, but when I go to browse there for other pictures I see it and am reminded. In her case of how the Israelis attacked their neighbors on the jewish sabbath. A thing that is forbidden them to do from their own ancient Supreme Law.

It reminds me of all the funny business going on that we aren't allowed to know about who really runs Israel and other things around the globe.

We are the voyeurs, watching, sometimes in horror, often for amusement, waiting for others to step forward and show us, from a safe distance, what humanity looks like.

Thanks for the reminder, Archangel.

I like to think of events providing us with an opportunity to become larger than our self perceptions. The doppelgangers you depict get more opportunities perhaps than the rest of us and likely show us the way. I can't always say I am up to it, and I can't really think of a time when I was big enough/heartfelt enough to carry the rotting and disassembling corpse of another, a child perhaps, to place of sanctuary. I can't promise for me or anyone else, but I like to think there enough of my humanity left for me or someone else to reach down deep in the vipers pit to try to find the little hand of the other; to bring them or what is left of their form home.......

Seeing the innocent suffer and die is a terrible experience that I have endured many times. It is an indescribable emotion. A mixture of anger, fear, and, love. My, (our), emotion is life’s empathy for life. We are on the same team.

The universe does not care. The universe is. The universe is almighty.

Life begins and then it ends. Nothing is carried forward except knowledge,

either biological knowledge or external knowledge having to be relearned….

It is our life boat…we have no hope without it….

Knowledge lessons the might of the universe, ever so little, with each new generation.

Either the universe will crush all life in the end, or life will gather enough knowledge to adapt

and survive the universe in time or just in time…….time is the unknown quantity.
