Don't expect a more honest use of the language, a “private option” for those dissatisfied with the eventual results of “public health care,” to be tolerated, ever, by the Usual Suspects. (In fact, “duplication of essential [sic] services” is typically the object of explicit prohibition in more ambitious and comprehensive federal takeover examples, like Medicare for All.)

We've seen “choice” routinely and dishonestly misused in place of “abortion” before, and there's no surprise that Kathy would misuse the phrase here when referring to the “public option” (itself a similar kind of euphemistic evasion of the reality that is sought).

Yes, and given that the context for the quote is the strong — and growing — support for a public option as shown in polls, those fears are obviously not as prevalent as some would have us believe.

The headline is a bit disingenuous, given that one of the main fears about a public option is eventually it will reduce choices.

Indeed they do. Given a choice between snide, left-liberal news and politics posing as 'balanced and fair', they choose 'fair and balanced' by the droves, it seems!
