A: "Whatever we do, we won't implement it until after December 2010 or December 2012. So, as I've said many times before, I've always supported not only the converse of your question, but the asymmetrical balance of what your question represents. The question you ask brings forth many issues, like Julia Smith of Bismarck, ND that found herself contemplating buying insurance from a triggered public plan while having the option to opt out. So I would say that my absolute definite answer to your question is that i support a triggered reasoning to the opt out option."

Whew!!!!! It's hard to try to blow that much smoke without taking a breath!

Just wait until more "tea leaves" in the form of polls (a la Clinton) emerge.

Obama, the wind vane, coming to a theater (in Washington) near you, soon?

PWT beat me to the obvious punch line...but I think it's also worth noting that Obama's supporters on the left seemed to think that his voting present on so many issues during his Senate tenure was a brilliant strategy to keep himself from getting pigeonholed as a liberal (not having to be accountable for some votes that might not be acceptable to more moderate or conservative leaning voters in a general, national election.) Now that Obama is the chief executive though, the habit seems to be wearing thin on them.
