A Blogger in Need

UPDATED:

When I was in dire financial straits and being threatened with eviction last year, donations from my friends here, at Comments from Left Field, and elsewhere in the blogosphere helped me keep my apartment.

Now another blogger is facing a very similar situation. Barbara O’Brien — aka Maha at Mahablog — is in serious danger of being evicted, and becoming homeless, before Christmas. The details are here.

Since I now am living on Social Security Disability (for which I was able to buy the time needed to apply and be approved in large part because of generous-hearted people here and at CFLF), I am in the incredibly blessed position of being able to give some money to help another blogger who is going through the same hell I was.

If anyone else is in a position to be able to donate — any amount; everything helps, believe me I know — to help Barbara keep her apartment, you will be doing a truly good thing.

UPDATE: Barbara apparently took down her post because the link no longer works. I’m not sure what’s going on, but if I find out, I’ll let you know.
