TARP Executive Pay Cuts Don’t Solve Anything

True, but it might make some people feel a little better. And who knows, maybe it will knock just a little bit off of the feeling of entitlement to outrageous compensation some have come to expect to continue endangering the fiscal stability of the nation.

I would like to note that cutting the wages of GM workers and their retirements did not really solve the big issues for the automakers but few cared. So as I watch my 70 yr old parents go out to find jobs at WalMart or where ever will hire them I doubt they will think that the TARP exec's that got us here should not feel a little pain with the rest of us.

It might make some people feel a little better if they are hung.

Having our government get directly involved in populist retaliatory actions against individuals just placate unrest is not good policy or government.

And the individuals most threatening to the fiscal stability of the nation are the Democratic leaderships of the House, Senate and Executive.

Yes it DOES!

It tells business that the people run this country, not the chairman of the friggen board. It says that when you put our country in jeopardy, when your greed becomes dangerous to the well being of the United States, the people, through their duly elected representatives will restrict, modify, regulate, or, remove your right to free enterprise as the government sees fit.

It’s called Sovereignty and it outranks your business.

It makes losers (in and outside Washington) feel good for now. It also gives ObamaCo a boost (not limited to health care "reform"). It is not only inept and overkill, but a dangerous and threatening precedent, albeit no surprise from these people. That more, worse, could come would make losers feel even better when it were to happen, and no doubt this has already been in ObamaCo's political calculations.

Who knows, the ineptitude may be eclipsed by the rabid rads who misread everything or don't care, and want to see more destruction as well as power acquisition. Don't be surprised to see binding federal arbitration of labor disputes, as well as additional commands and edicts from Rome, maybe some new fervent PIRG and institutional-shareholder incorporation with Washington, and lefty-fascist federal corporate charters in addition to (already!) federal officials or their selections on boards of directors.

Yep, as in "People's Republic," with the lie that ObamaCo has already shown itself to be in that light, already. Before Fox was made the demon distraction and scapegoat for the health care failure still in need of recovery, the people themselves were the Enemy ("Nazis, un-American") and the losers and other dregs of society were told to conduct a denunciation and informer campaign (of intimidation and suppression, the intent) against them and their "fishy" (impermissible) information.

That business (taken over by the federal government already to a huge extent, and mismanaged, not "saved," in the process) is again the Enemy is no surprise. It's standard propaganda BS and expression of hatred that's typical lefty stuff. (In fact, the insurance companies are another Enemy currently in the desperate health care "reform" recovery effort. [snicker])
