Couldn’t get it out of my head today, so here it is:

Music by its very nature is very subjective. That is indeed a very beautiful song, and I do not want to get into a 'who's most beautiful song is the most beautiful' contest. I simply want to share my favorite version of what I think is the most beautiful song in the world for all to enjoy:
It is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. The problem is that Nat King Cole could make "Louie,Louie" sound beautiful. Everything he touched came up rainbows and roses and simply wonderful.

Whoa. Now I have chills running up & down my spine. I've always loved "Ave Maria" -- it's just a beautiful song. And Barbara Bonney's voice (I've never heard of her before) is exquisite. Thank you sharing that, AR.

Very nice Kathy. . .yes this one is most beautiful. . .it evokes old memories of listening curled up on the floor in front of the old black and white T.V. . . . His voice and expression is truly awesome. . .my mind is now in a flutter trying to think what is the most beautiful song. . ..
and oh yes Austin that too is most beautiful. . . .
thanks for both. . .

LOL, so true, so true. And the gift has been passed on to his daughter.

Thanks to both of you for sharing! What a lovely end to a crummy work day...

I'm sorry your work day was crummy, roro! :-(

Ah, music. One place where we can all meet in agreement. It is a very nice change. Thanks, Kathy.
I absolutely love Nat King Cole.
Two others give me chills - Pacabels Canon and (believe it or not ) The Star Spangled Banner. Love song: First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack
all priceless.
Leonidas
Its a nice song, not near the top of my list but nice.
What do I think is the most beautiful? Can't say right off as it changes a lot. John Lennon's "Imagine" comes readily to mind though, as does the "Star Spangled Banner", "Time after Time", "Stand by Me", "against All Odds", and "Bridge Over Troubled Water".

Thanks Kathy. It's always crummy; or at least not what I'd most like to be doing with my time. That's why they call it work instead happy-fun-then-they-pay-me time.

This is scary, Leonidas. Three of those are strong favorites of mine -- "Imagine," "Time After Time," and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" -- and two of them, while not favorites, I definitely like ("Stand By Me" and "Against All Odds"). My favorite Phil Collins song is "Another Day in Paradise."

Hey Kathy -- Hope you don't mind if I throw a few of my fave's into the mix. They're off the beaten path for most, but I thought you might enjoy them.
