I think his bias is showing. I read that as, "If only Palm had released the Pre on Verizon it would have been crowned by him as the challenger to the iPhone but they did not so it sucks."

I too am excited to get my hands on a Android phone no matter the carrier.

Note, I do not own a Palm Pre nor have I used one so I have no idea how good/bad a phone they are. I did have a Treo 600 a few years ago and except for the size it was a great device. I also do not own a iPhone, I have a Blackberry Palm.
