Britain: Looming Neo-Nazis’ Threat…

How much danger terrorists pose in Britain? “The campaign I am talking about is not being planned by Jihadis or fringe Irish nationalists but by white ‘neo-Nazis’ who want to murder Asians, black people, Jews and gays in the bizarre belief it will trigger a ‘race war’, says Johann Hari in The Independent.

“The police are warning ever-more urgently that similar attacks seem to be coming today. The West Yorkshire Police recently launched a huge series of raids against far-right groups and found them in possession of 80 bombs – considerably more even than any jihadi group has been caught with in British history.

“Britain is facing the real risk today of a bombing campaign that targets random civilians for death – but it is being virtually ignored. When its supporters step closer every day to mass murder, nobody notices. When its perpetrators are caught, there is (at best) a little flick of information in News in Brief…This silence suggests something dark about us – and requires us to change our behaviour, fast.

“The list of far right-wingers who have been busted for planning violence has spiked up in the past few years. In the home of a BNP election candidate called Robert Cottage in 2008, the police discovered “the largest amount of chemical explosives ever found in this country”, they said.

“…A thug called Martyn Gilleard was caught with a huge stash of nail bombs, and rage-filled letters in which he declared: ‘I am so sick of hearing nationalists talk of killing Muslims, of blowing up mosques, of fighting back, only to see these acts of resistance fail to appear. The time has come to stop the talk and start to act.’ He was only caught by fluke: the police busted him for distributing child porn.

“It’s not hard to get in on this act. There are dozens of far-right websites that explain – with handy video links – how to make bombs, and then urge you to head to the nearest mosque, synagogue or gay club…” More here…

Meanwhile a British far-right party, British National Party (BNP), won its first-ever parliamentary seats in European Union elections as the extreme right advanced in several countries across the continent on a volatile mix of apathy, anger and economic uncertainty, reports USA Today.

“The BNP, which does not accept non-white members and calls for the ‘voluntary repatriation’ of immigrants, won two of Britain’s 72 seats in the European Parliament, final results showed Monday.” More here…

Far right militants are getting more sophisticated and politicians need to challenge their message head on, an expert on community relations says. Read here…

While they may be a real phenomenon I have to notice the preoccupation with startling stories and images. "Keep American Safe" has just started up with Kristol and Cheney. Pandering fear was Cheney's forte'. Being from rangeland he's no doubt seen how dogs are used to keep a herd balled up and moving in the direction you want them to go. Dogs come in all shapes and sizes and they don't have to be local ones either.

    I'm just saying..

Since the dawn of time there have always been uncommon villians afflicted with every sort of manifestation of warped rearing that can be present in an adult or adolescent. They tend to group up with other dysfunctionals that have a similar outlook, all hearkening back to the monkey/tribal aspect of homo sapien's roots. So forgive me but wow *yawn* another tribe of chest-thumping knuckle dragging misfits are grouping up to cause harm to [insert target name here].

Really, there's a lot of good in the world too. A lot of uncommon good. Stuff that teeters on the edge of miraculous if I dare say it. I've come to notice in the media that it barely gets a mention, hardly a passing comment. So consumed is the primal monkey in all of us to see a bloody confrontation, the morbid fascination, that we are suckers for people like Cheney who use that innate reflex to keep us fearful, clinging to each other in the branches and shouting threats at the other [insert name here] tribe.

The tribe over in the middle east known as 'The Iraquis' has some of the best banana bunches in the world. They're black, in puddles under the ground, but they couldn't be $weeter for the silverback Cheney et al. Iran has some too that this knuckle-dragger would love to find an excuse to beat up the other reigning silverback there named Ahmadinejad. And for some reason, I think in deference to a pact Cheney made with a silverback in Britain et al. named Tony Blair, they wanted to help each other steal some really good bananas first in the Middle East jungle, and then over in the Indo-Asian jungle.

The republican party has always been appealing to either the monkeys with the most bananas or those too dumb to see that the banana-rich monkeys were using them just to get and keep more bananas. Chest-thumping and "whoops" can go a long way in keeping the lesser monkeys obedient. The more fear they can instill in this lower eschelon, the more control they exert. It's simple monkey-math.

    Anthropology is a fascinating subject.

The uncommon, the miraculous good is what separates us from fecae-throwing apes and into powerful beings of light. It's just something you need to ask yourself: Am I behaving like an ape or am I motivated by a higher cause? Those are the rare birds, the things worth talking about and ruminating over.
