Question is will the Democrats pass it in the Senate, they got all the GOP votes they need, one. I doubt they can get enough Democratic votes to pass it now. Have to wait and see.

There is a very real chance that Collins and Voinovich will support the bill on the floor. Snowe was the only moderate Republican on the Finance Committee, which is why she was at the center of everything.

And if there are 63 votes then it's hard for anybody to say this was “rammed through.”

Snowe’s support means there’s no longer any credible way that Republicans can argue that Dems didn’t pursue bipartisan compromise

One defection constitutes bipartisanship and makes it obvious that the Dems pursued a compromise? I guess one out of forty isn't too bad. This may have made it out of the committee, but if all the Dems can count on in the full senate is Snowe's vote (which she won't guarantee), this thing doesn't have the slightest chance of passing without the Dems using reconciliation.
