As I wrote elsewhere, what would people think if some social conservatives (say, Jerry Falwell) had demanded Greg Louganis be stripped of his Olympic awards (and banned from future participation), and all other gays kept out of such competition?

I doubt those most in need of the education will learn.

But it hasn't gone fully unnoticed, this sinister leftist political garbage -- "slippery slope," it is.

Perhaps Sharpton, who I consider no friend to black people, should be talking about the 60-70% of athletes – mostly black – whom our colleges fail to graduate. Or parhaps former players who live in poverty with debilitating conditions Or maybe the fact that the NFL isn't doing much to protect players – again, most of whom are black – from repeated concussions.

But no. Mr. sharpton would rather grab headlines…

I guess Mr. L wouldn't consider a team like the Saints or the Cardinals. For him THE RAMS are the most appropriate (or maybe the Patriots, would do). I wouldn't want to be working for him though, the sidelines wouldn't be big enough for his ego. As for Mr. S., he would love to be on the sidelines of the Angels, Saints would also do.

Most likely a minor one at that. Rush has the bucks, but not the Bob McNair bucks that it takes to get a franchise today. They quote upward of $500 million is likely. That's cheap but hey, it's a lousy economy.

dduck, that was funny, made me laugh out loud. parcheesi gaming. I suddenly thought, chinese-italiano old mafia guys in a cellar playing board games while smoking cigars and cussing in many languages. I wonder what 'parcheesi' really is like to play. We didnt have 'board games' as kids. Just forest. Big water.

It seems Mr. L is just being an investor. Likely people would be surprised to know what he already has part ownership in. I imagine many industires, dont you?

I don't hate Limbaugh: just can't stand him. Ditto for Al Sharpton. Sharpton wants no part of Limburger owning anything but a Parcheesi Gaming franchise. Don't know what to think; life's quandaries.
