Well... If Obama won't offend anyone turning the Nobel Peace Prize down, then the honor must not be a big deal. If the honor is not a big deal, then why do Obama's critics even bother to slam him over it?

His critics can't have it both ways. And if Obama had refused it, then his critics would have been all over him for refusing it.
