I am not sure why this is being viewed as an honor or a commemoration or even a shrine? What is spiritual about an office? I can't imagine what Shafer thinks of Monticello or Mount Vernon or Thomas Edison's home. I don't consider any of these "spiritual." This comes across as much more of a desire to knock down Russert than anything else.

From what I have read, it is an exhibit. Nothing more. It is a glance at the office and the inner workings and the day-to-day office of one of the most prominent journalists of the recent era, who happened to suffer an untimely death.
