The earth and sun's normal cycles cause that. The earth for it's irregular orbit and the sun on its 11/22 year cycles (Which will hit solstace in Dec 2012). We're already on the backside of our warming trend. Then it will get cooler. This is not the first hot spell we've had. Go back and see them throughout history. They have a normal ebb and flow that is semi-predictable, as do cooling trends (mini-ice ages, etc).

And believe it or not I am a conservationist (environmentalist that isn't spurred by liberally biased science). As I've said on other threads, I personally witnessed the blackballing of “nay-sayers” that did not adhere to the forced agenda. To totally ignore evidence because it does not fit your agenda, is not science. That happens every day in universities around the nation, not just the one I attended.

I have very close friends in that branch of science and let me tell you…not only is it real, but it is really almost too late.

Not just with “windfall” [sic] taxes on the insurers (another facet of that “fair competition” with the “public option” federal government incrementalist takeover and intentional crowding-out already in mind), but also with PC dabble-ry like the stirring of the “hate” [thought] “crime” expansion now underway in the House (Lib-Dem Lunatix), for example.

Never mind the most prompt pressing thing and worst current defect of all in the lib Dem House, which is the most important news item currently (and curiously neglected by so many on this liberal Web site), the tax cheating of Charlie Rangel and the Dems' preference for power over principle (naturally).

Nope. He is not a global warming-”catastrophe” Big Liar, nor is he appealing to the emotions of children of various ages, as the lib Dems have all year (we “need” to Act, NOW!), nor assuming everyone else is so easily misled. About all he did wrong was to be conceited to the point of delusion about a “permanent majority” of the GOP as of the middle of the last decade. (A smaller version of this is inherent in those few who predict that the lib Dem lunacy necessarily guarantees another 1994 next year.)

It's good to pass a healthcare reform bill, but none of this will effectively address cost. Cost is the problem. I don't think competition can be introduced in any meaningful manor either.

Total and complete National “single payer” healthcare will be the only answer in the end. Some things are just intimately within the purview of government. I believe healthcare is proving to be one of them. The high cost of healthcare is merely a prime example of government not providing for the welfare of the people as is stipulated within the Constitution.

Mainland Europe provides perfect examples for cost effective national healthcare systems that work just fine. The United States government will have to Nationalize medicine and force costs, and, salaries, to about European levels. I just don’t see any other way to get everybody in America proper healthcare as is the case in all other modern nations. Not doing so long ago was obviously a big mistake considering the mess we are in now.

I could care less about the insurance industry, but if health insurance sellers want to sell insurance policies to Americans then they can compete with European private insurance companies here in the U.S., with the invitation and admission of European insurance companies to do business within the United States. As it stands now, private European health insurance companies are Trade-Blocked.

Really I don’t think American based insurance companies want any competition. With this in mind I like Speaker Pelosi’s,“Windfall Tax”, idea imposed on American health insurance companies as an immediate revenue recovery initiative. It’s a good idea and if you think about it, we really should take back what the insurance industry has stolen from us. Especially now when we need it most.

Dems need to understand that anything less than a public option will be viewed by the Ameican public as a failure. You cannot campaign on a public option, take complete control of Congress, and then not pass a public option. They will be viewed as weak and unable to govern.

People can argue that there was no mandate in the voting or polling for a public option. That is irrelevant. A public option was a major campaign promise. The kind of public option was viewed as the only real difference between Clinton and Obama. If they don't pass one, they fail.
