Thugs Pick On The Wrong Drag Queens

This story out of Wales.

A couple of presumably drunk street thugs saw some drag queens on the street in the town of Swansea and decided that it was their job to go over and take care of the guys they saw as wimps.

Well it turns out those guys were a couple of cage fighters.

They proceeded to beat the crud out of their attackers.

Just goes to show that homophobes shouldn’t be so sure that all gay men are weak…..

Can’t wait to see them explain this to their buddies.

It's definitely fun to see jerks get what's coming to them. They would still be jerks if the drag queens (or, possible, trans women) hadn't been so physically capable.
  • Jerks either way.

Though I must admit there is something odd about cage fighting drag queens....

Glad to hear that they got their butts handed to them. Now, either they stop harrassing people they see as inferior, or they'll get worse and show up next time with cricket bats (since it's in Wales). Let's pray it's the former and not the latter.

    And to Patrick E.
If I had to wear heals, I'd want to fight in a cage too!

It should be illegal for men to dress as women in public. Causes a public nuisance.
  • roro80
See, actually F_T, what you think about what other people wear is really of absolutely no consequence. I'd say that constantly, insessantly, and without-fail spewing hatred and bile is a public nuisance, and is certainly more destructive and disgusting than wearing a dress.

Why you are just a little cute pouty when you get mad.
  • roro80
Sexist and homophobic. They go together like peas and carrots. If you think your sexism toward me is going to shut me up about your contant and disgusting homophobic bull, think again, you sad, little man.
  • roro80
It's quite likely that they don't go to the cage in drag. A lot of drag queens only perform occasionally, and don't live as women all the time. It would be quite a show, though!

"homophobic" is a political word that describes nothing, refers to nothing that actually exists, and, therefore means nothing.

As for you I have no idea what you are, and, I will never make apologies for my political belief. Your accusations are without merit and are argumentative for the purpose of argument only.
  • roro80
"homophobic" is a word that means a fear or hatred of gay people, refers to people like you who fear and/or hate gay people, and means that you are discriminatory and hateful of people just because of who they are.

"As for you I have no idea what you are"

you have no idea "what" I am? What is that even supposed to mean?

"I will never make apologies for my political belief."

Fine, then don't apologize. That will not stop me from calling it out each and every time your "political belief" boils down to hate and bias.
  • Father_Time
Making things up don't work. Homophobic means nothing. It is a Colloquialism applied to those that homosexuals hate. I guess "Fear or phobic of Homos" would be a pure translation. Irrelevent because I have no fear.

As for "what" you are, well you accused me of sexism, which is impossible because I have no idea your sex.

Continue to "call out" whenever you like. Consider yourself invited.

    From dictionary.com: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/homophobic
def 1: unreasoning fear of or antipathy toward homosexuals and homosexuality.
def 2: Fear of or contempt for lesbians and gay men.
def 3: Behavior based on such a feeling.

Fear of OR comtempt for. Fear of OR antipathy toward. Your contempt and antipathy are palpable. You can try to poof the word out of existence, but I don't think that's gonna work.

" is impossible because I have no idea your sex"

No, it's not at all. You ascribed to me (bullcrap, stereotypical) female qualities in order to belittle me. Whether I am a man or a woman, that is still sexism. Like using the p-word meaning female genitalia is sexist against women whether you use it as an insult toward a man or a woman. This sort of reasoning takes above a 3rd grade understanding of the world, so I'm not expecting much from you here.

Father Time would you mind telling me if you are male or female? When i first started reading your comments i thought you male, but once i got past the name i read you as female? Just have wondered if i am reading your energy right or incorrectly?

I stand against mistreatment and hatred of homosexuals, even if I think their choice of behavior does social harm in a nation. That's another topic.

Although I disagree with FT most of the time, I agree that "homophobia" is an incorrect word. Does it mean that someone is "afraid" of homosexuals if they don't agree with their choice of lifestyle? I don't think so.

I think a more appropriate term would be "Homomisandry". "Misandry" literally means hatred of men. That is at least closer to the meaning that people have in mind when they use "homophobia".
It may just be symantics, but I've found that symantics do, indeed, matter in society.

    Hey JD,

I didn't make up the definition of homophobia. In general, the term "phobia" does not mean merely a fear of something, but also/or a strong dislike or hate of that thing. Even the term arachnophobia, for example, while generally referring to a fear of spiders, can also include a loathing of spiders. Regardless, I find that most people who hate gay people also have fear of them -- fear they're coming for your children, fear they're going to hit on you, fear they're going to "ruin the institution of marriage", fear that others will think you're gay if you don't express your constant disgust, or whatever if is. Of course, these fears are quite silly, but I've seen enough prop-8 commercials to know that fear is quite prevalent. If it weren't, gay people could marry in my state right now.

Homomysandery is an interesting term, but leaves out gay women (maybe a separate term of homomysogyny?), not to mention the myriad other classes that fall under the general-use term of homophobia -- that is, trans, intersex, genderqueers, asexuals, drag performers, and transvestites. (I'm sure I'm missing a couple, but that's all I can think of right now.)
