As far as sexual irresponsibility, it's dangerous territory to delve into when saying it's right or wrong… My “right” may be your “wrong” and vice versa. Though I think there are just certain sexual behaviors we can all agree that are wrong (i.e. rape, child molestation, etc.)

Some people would consider Sanford's leadership (by example) as a married man, as a governor to be more irresponsible and promote cheating on one's spouse than Madonna's more open attitudes which strips away sexual repression. Personally I think we can do with a lot less sexual repression in this country, though to be clear I'm not advocating that people go out and cheat on their spouses or have sex with everyone they want to…. rather that I think it would be healthy if sexually repressed people were more in tune with themselves.

As far as your statement that you find Madonna to be an immoral person who advocates immorality to others for profit…. I personally disagree with that (for reasons too lengthy to go into here), but I see how people could believe that. Since I consider one's morals to be of one's own choosing, there's nothing I can argue with you about your belief. While I do not agree with your belief, this is actually one belief of yours that I can respect. I would imagine that you view all other people who act immorally (to your standards) with the same opinion, regardless of who they are.

The difference, is that Mark Sanford practices immorality, while Madonna practices immorality, as well as, advocates immorality with her “art” that over sexualizes life. People that do not act responsibly regarding sex creates problems for themselves and others. Sexual irresponsibility is an immorality IMO.

She also paid a man to give her a child then virtually sent him away. It will never be possible to hide this from the child. IMO, she has harmed at least one human being because of this selfish act. Possibly harming more than one.

Just for a point of reference: I do not associate religion with morality. I do not consider religion moral or in anyway a moral reference.

Speaking of morally disgusting…. What about Mark Sanford? Here's a man who lies to his staff, ditches his security, putting his state at risk, flies off to other continents to cheat on his wife and have sex with his mistress… all at the taxpayers' expense. In the meantime he holds other politicians to higher standards than himself and uses the follies of other politicians for his own political gain.

So… why do you give people like Mark Sanford a pass on his behavior (and you believe it's between him and his wife, and are only concerned about “laws” being broken)? Let's not forget that Mark Sanford is a leader, not only in his community, but in his church and his entire state. Whereas Lady Gaga is an entertainer and hasn't broken any oaths or vows to anyone, nor has she squandered taxpayer money.

Is it because Mark Sanford is a white male Republican who “looks” upstanding while Lady GaGa is a woman who dresses provocatively (as part of being a successful entertainer)? Do you have an issue with Lady GaGa's drug use? If so then I don't even know where to start my list of white male Republicans who have used (and abused) drugs. The cliches that come to my mind are; looks aren't everything and a man's actions speak louder than his words.

Just so we're clear on who is more “morally disgusting”. I don't recall ever hearing Lady GaGa make an oath to anyone or be responsible to a wife (husband), family and every citizen in a state. Lady Gaga wears skimpy outfits, makes fun videos and is a talented artist. So what, exactly, IS morally disgusting about Lady GaGa? And why do you hold some people (and judge them harshly) to higher standards while other people you consider their private matters to be just that- private?
