While no one would questions that mistakes were made and poor judgments were made in post-colonization, there is much to be learned from the life and lessons of Gandhi for those willing to listen and accept the limits of their own humanity. Some are just incapable of such humility.

Yep, Gandhi's active years were marked by some serious stuff between Pakistan and India, and Gandhi made some strategic mistakes on that one.

The seven deadly sins of Gandhi remain as relevant today as they have always been and will doubtless always be. A separate post could be written on each.

Remembreing the words of a song made famous by a folk trio who admired Gandhi:

"When will they ever learn?

Just another inflection of guilt on a guiltless planet. It is also about the 42nd anniversary of Sputnik, which had a much greater impact on the world, changing it forever. It would appear that Gandhi was wrong, fear is indeed a greater motivator for change than guilt.

The props change, the language can change, the culture can change, people pass away and new people arrive, but human nature doesn't seem to change; Gandhi understood this. The seven deadly sins go directly to heart of the problems were are currently experiencing in the USA. Knowledge without character and wealth without work seem especially applicable in my view.
