  2. DLS says:

Still not a single thread on Iran's second, recently-revealed nuclear enrichment facility.

    Priorities, priorities… [sigh]

  3. PWT says:

Hey, at least they managed to squeeze in a 'Joe Wilson' thread! I eagerly await the coming two 'Sarah Palin is an iditot' threads that are likely loaded up for this afternoon.

  4. DLS says:

I'm waiting for the “clever” stuff — about how we really do need a nuclear-arms-free and even a fully-nuclear-free world (no more icky “nucular” power as well as regurgitation of early-1980s “freeze” folly fodder), linking it somehow to “emotional global warming” (nuclear winter is passe') and to the evil Netanyahu, Master Settler-Colonialist, at the UN, defiling the wonderful organization and its superior contingent of Ahmedinejad, Qadhafi, and Chavez (their equivalents of our Pelosi, Waxman, et cetera).

No, that would be too clever and elaborate — I'd have to wait more than forever (just for any Iran story).

  5. DLS says:

    “a 'Joe Wilson' thread”

That's because there were no tea parties in Pittsburgh (counteracting the conformist smelly socialists).

  6. casualobserver says:

    @@Still not a single thread on Iran's second, recently-revealed nuclear enrichment facility.@@

The editorial staff is waiting on Ezra Klein to give them the necessary talking points to repeat here.

It is also particularly challenging because to acknowledge this situation exist means that they have to concede Cheney was correct about Iran.

  7. DLS says:

They're so inept! Obviously the Iranian issue can be successfully “spun”: The recent decision to scrap the Czech-Polish anti-Iranian missile defense to be nicer to Bruno was accompanied by the decision to use sea-based and theater-missile-oriented defenses instead, which already has the Iranians howling (and which I noted, but which didn't become a thread on this site, either). Hence ObamaCo can claim to be Doing Something [tm] about the Iranian threat while arguing for sanctions (just wait until Iran, Europe, and the UN exploit this with an Oil for Food extravanganza that may dwarf Iraq's — heh, heh) and bleating to the dewy-eyed and the passive-aggressive radicals about securing a “nuclear-free world” (translation: Disarm the Evil USA and Israel to be more politically correct).

Instead, we see threads about Palin, Wilson, “racism” [sic], etc., distractions from the other news of the continued Democratic self-engineered failure on health care and alienation of the public.

    Petty, pathetic distractions…

Yep, it's time to wait until marching (or speaking or writing) orders to issue or ape come out of DC.

Since all comments on this thread had the subject matter of “Why TMV isn't writing about Iran”, they have been deleted since it is COMPLETELY and TOTALLY off subject. If you have an issue with what the authors write about on this site, please utilize the “Contact Us” page. Thank you.

  9. GreenDreams says:

woohoo T-Steel. How nice it would be to have actual on-topic discussions instead of sideshows along the lines of “well, what about <insert red herring>?” Nice step in that direction. Now it could be a bigger deal than I think, but how about a reader posts section, a la TPM? Then those of us who want to read a screed about Iran from a commenter can do so.

To this topic, climate change is a bigger deal to many countries, such as Bangladesh and the barely-above-sea-level nations of the S. Pacific than is Afghanistan, which is either about oil pipelines and access to European oil markets, or it's about getting bin Laden and the Taliban thugs, neither of which is an existential threat to most other nations.

  10. TheMagicalSkyFather says:

But..but I wanted you to talk about the new video game system and you guys keep talking about politics!! This is not moderate, it is politisist! Great cartoon image btw, cant say I agree but the imagery is amazing.

  11. T-Steel says:

GreenDreams, that is a damn fine idea regarding a reader posts section! HMMM! Let me do some research and test it out on our super duper clandestine test server. SSSHHHH!!!
