I have no idea what the “scum of society” would “shriek.” (Oh, is that me, DLS?) I doubt you or anyone could make a RICO case against ACORN. Some of their now-fired employees were really stupid, but I've seen no evidence of a conspiracy to assist potential brothels. HAVE YOU?

Remember Linda Tripp? The ONLY person to be indicted or convicted of ANYTHING in the Clinton/Lewinsky fiasco. She was convicted of illegal wiretapping. Why bring this up? Because it is those who break the law playing vigilante who deserve our scorn and prosecution. How about it, rightists? No respect for law and order here? Goota wonder how smart they are with this lawsuit, it only will extend the amount of time they spend in the headlines over this fiasco.

Good for Barney Frank, one of the very rare times I agree with him. They still have some Congressmen who support them though

The lawsuit may have some foundation, but it is still a bad move by ACORN.

As to the idea that a conservative group doing undercover investigations is evil but when 60 Minutes or Michael Moore does it then the move is wonderful, I don't get that.

The lawsuit is based on Maryland's wiretap law. By failing to alert ACORN of the wiretap they broke the law. That's the nature of the suit, ACORN's comic mismanagement notwithstanding.

Strange, I don't recall anybody being arrested. Must not have been any crimes committed. Now that we are alerted, lets see some more heritage foundation fascists walk into the offices under false pretensions and run out with busted heads. Then you may have something to complain about.
