Mr. Durst is of the age and generation during which kids who had developmental lags or serious illness, had been in accidents with closed head injuries, were on medicines that slowed them down, had different learning ways... were called &#039;slow&#039; and then, it was decided by the unobservant amongst those in charge, they were all stupid. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;They werent stupid.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Kids who have different ways of learning are rarely stupid, have gifts that can be dazzling, just like all other kinds of kids.  Just saying&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I get the gist of Mr. Durst&#039;s humor. And agree with the silliness of keeping kids out of school for as  mild a set of messages as &#039;wash your hands&#039; (as I noted in an article at TMV covering a mid-sized town... about five kids out of a few thousands were kept out of school that day, but the MSM wanted to flog the opposite.) &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Thanks Mr. D&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;dr.e</description>
