By the way... Speaking of socializing healthcare, I ran across this video on youtube. It's a cartoon that was made over 50 years ago. It perfectly fits the infighting and tactics used by both sides on this issue.

Oddly enough, Grassly is correct in the fact that the Democrats (including Obama) made any bill passing through the “gang of six” nearly impossible. Pelosi over in the House, made sure that the vast majority of Americans lined up against nationalized healthcare in general. Next the President goes on a speaking junket attempting to convince of the need for healtcare reform and points to the Senate for examples.

Cue the media, who continue to take those two factors and add ever increasing pressure on the Senate (the only real possiblity for legislation is in the Senate) to pass something “everyone likes”.
This pressure from the media and the President forced the Senate Committee to get SOMETHING through. And Voila! You have the Baucus Bill – a useless piece of legislation for conservatives and liberals alike.

So Grassly is correct, to a point. But he needs to accept his own responsibility for some of the GOP junk that made it in there as well.

Grassley is like a very weird mathematical function – no matter what value of x you insert the value for y is going to be ln(-1/0) or something similarly useful and logical.
