The association with that term to totalitarianism, though rational, is actually the least problem here.

The problem with the Czars isn't even that these are people appointed who have no Congressional review or oversight (something that the Bush-haters would have screamed about in earlier years).

The main problem with the Czars is that they illustrate the ineptitude or the play-pen, little-lefty-kiddie amateurism of the current Executive branch (and being out-of-touch with the public, or at least all but the extreme left or the stupid, who don't care). All these people amount to in practice (at least based on what the public is permitted to observe) is the silliest kind of superficiality, and arbitrary creation of new bureaucracy — these people are just figureheads where attention is supposed to be concentrated or directed. Big deal! (And with the non-material-value nature of these positions and people, comes government waste. Is this surprising?)

As I thought this morning while on the road, it makes me wonder how many Obama voters and especially early Hillary Clinton supporters now wish she were President, and how many problems we currently see would not happen or have been permitted by her to happen.

There's screw ups and then there's screw ups. Minor blip on the radar in my opinion (Van Jones). Personally I would like to see Republican and Democratic administrations be able to choose “get 'er done'rs” without invasive vetting where intestinal linings are scrutinized to see what baby food the candidate was fed when an infant. Cause we all know that we can tell so much from the type of Gerber that was ingested.

A Truther gets past the unilateral vetting process of the executive branch and you call it a minor blip????

This should raise alot of eyebrows. It would be like Joesph McCarthy being appointed as an advisor to Bush.

If what someone wrote in their college thesis 20 years ago is relevent then what someone supported in 2005 or said in 2008 when they were 40 is very relevent. Reviewing the Wikipedia entry on Mr. Jones, his body of work on environmental issues is creating NGO to get government grants, organizing conferences, and sitting on boards of other government shake down organizations. Why did the Obama Administration decide that their green job czar should be a guy that had less than five years of experience.

Well yeah pretty much. You want to be miss America don't pose nude. You want to be a cop don't break the law. You want to join the Govt then dont join a group calling for a revolution. This isn't just politics but life.

Admit it “superdestroyer” you like having felons and petty criminals in government.

Someone who calls your party a “bad” name is much much worse, right?

Van Jones with a job in the White House not nearly as influential as those convicted felons, worse.

I'm very disappointed. If vetting doesn't catch convicted felons, then something is wrong with the system.

This was complete payback. Nothing more nothing less.

That's what I am saying! I've worked with a guy who used to roll with Skinhead types. We got along fine because he said he dropped that nonsense and he DEMONSTRATED that. Now if Van Jones was ran out of town due to his lack of qualifications, that would be just fine with me.

Are the rest of the czars in the Obama Administration the same Ivy league educated race hustler, shake down artist who get government grants and produce nothing.

I thought the progressives were going to down be apologist for the Obama Administration yet, here we are with progressives claiming that a documented racist and bigot is a great guy and just the guy to help create private sector jobs.

I do think you point out why maybe Repubs just ignore it, they do not want to validate it and all their supporters just ignore it. The Dems are bad because they listen, the Repubs good because they ignore it. I am not saying this is necessarily your personal opinion but I think it is largely how both sides work and view the issues.
