1. First and foremost, you can't attack Beck when it comes to Van Jones and the alien, scummy extremism on the Left that Jones and the other Dems have been flirting with. They've wrecked their own health care effort.

2. Beck? Could be his fame (being on TV as well as radio, or is he still on radio at all now?) has gone to his head.

Finally,

3. Where has Ann Coulter gone? Not so much a loud mouth in her case but controversy for the sake of controversy and air time and book sales, and Beck may well be filling the hole that Coulter has left.

Nicely put, Silhouette.
Not used to a well-thought discourse on Glenn Beck - usually just a bunch of hate.

One prop I will give Beck is that he, at best, keeps people questioning government actions and motives.

(the government did ? today. I wonder WHY they would do that?)

This speaks to the millions of us who also do not trust the government, as we shouldn't.
Our nation was founded by wise men who also did not trust government, and who wrote the Constitution that limited the governement's power and scope
(1st amendment - speak against the government, and worship without the government)
(2nd amendment - stay armed just in case the government becomes tyrannical)

and so on.

Glenn Beck is a whack job.... However, he is the ONLY one speaking to those of us who wish to maintain the Constitution and who wish to defend it against all enemies - foreign and DOMESTIC.

Some of you may know I hang out with god-fearing rednecks due to my livestock dealings. A couple of them were talking about Glen Beck and how at first they really liked him but now he's gone off the deep end of looneytown. I had to agree. I think it's time for the padded cell and lots of rest time at Shady Acres. Even the the right fringe isnt' being wooed by his fake speaking in tongues act. I think there may be a small cluster of people sequestered in the back woods of the Smokey Mountains who will be able to relate to him. Beyond that he serves little purpose.

I think they let him rant to try to bring in every shred left of their base. Cluster Fox has a talking head to represent each faction of that base but they really missed the mark with Glenn Beck. He is definitely doing more harm than good in their ultimate goal: keeping the right together. He is driving the right apart,.
