But if you actually think that conservatives think that way. Get real.

Yes, some of the fringe on both sides do not use rational thought and spin generalities and conspiracy.

However, ALL of us should learn something from this type of thinking.

Do NOT trust what you are told by the government or the media.

Get your info YOURSELF, and when offered data or information, VERIFY IT!

Do not take a word President Obama or Congressmen tell you.
Look into everything and form your own opinion.

If you want to be liberal after that, fine.
If you want to be conservative after that, fine.

But don't spew anything until you've put rational thought and research into it.

That's the lesson I take from wallstreetpoet's satire.

So following the columnist's logic, Obama should make sure NOT to provide a solid education for future Americans! If he promotes universal ignorance, he will prove that we are not like the Communists!

Where do they get these arguments???

What I love about DLS is his propensity to post a thought and then post another thought shortly afterward. I used to think it was the Disqus screwing up the order of responses – as if he was in a running dialogue with another commenter. But it's more like a running dialogue with his last comment.

Actually if he would just drop the lefty/liberal/commie/socialist/fascist thing that make it sound like I am reading Glenn Beck then I would actually read a good deal more of his comments but those I tend to only read once they have annoyed me. I am not sure that DLS wants me to read him more though we tend to bicker but I usually enjoy it.

Yeah, but to his credit DLS does not fit into the stereotype portrayed in the satirical message above. While I generally disagree with just about everything he has to say, he does present reasoned and thought-out commentary – the type of conservative message that I would hope other conservatives would employ on this (and other) message boards.
