"The Government IS the people's will"

Well, some in government may believe it, and even say it or act like it (I'm reminded of Morley here).

OK -- here you are, in advance of "progress" toward more government influence, exploiting celebrity and personality cultism, in just a short time from now. Follow the lesson plan and do the exercises.

http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/prek-6.pdf

http://www.ed.gov/teachers/how/lessons/7-12.pdf

We need MUCH MORE GOVERNMENT CONTROL in just about all aspects of American life. Business leaders must be made accountable for their business actions that damage and destroy American Life, Health, and world environment.

The Government IS the people's will and the people want and need CONTROL.

It's both, and no cause for concern or standard anti-industry-and-progress leftism. And there's no excuse whatsoever for hype, obscession, or mental illness about "obesity" (and no, it is not a "crisis" [sic]), and an invitation to the federal government not only to be not only a surrogate parent, but PC totalitarian ("food policy") when it comes to what we eat and how much, nor to associate this nonsense and compound it thereby with other lefty and PC foolishness, such as environmentalism, as well as misconduct we see currently with health care. (Such nonsense has an irritating resemblance to misused language about Evil SUVs and "bloated" vehicles, too, for example, as well as about the West and especially the Evil USA for other "reasons," or even in general.)

The Ad Council and governments have no business pestering us to eat in politically correct ways, and no governments have any business substuting politics for sensibility anywhere (including with modern agriculture and the food industry, as well as with energy policy and threatening with health care now).

Meat and Potatoes.

As a child we ate everything cooked at home and there was nothing "low fat". If we snacked it was popcorn with lots of butter, or the occasional ice cream on hot apple pie. Snacks were only once or twice a week mostly on the weekend and likely after playing in a half day long neighborhood baseball game. We were fit and strong and never saw a fat kid except spanky on the Little Rascals.

Maybe Eisenhower should have also warned us about the food processing industry as well. Bt the way, that also includes Campbell’s Soup.
yuck.
