The way the Bush administration exploited Reagan's death to take the country's eye off Iraq?

The way the Wall Street Journal, only two weeks after 3000 people died in New York and the Pentagon and Pennsylvania, exhorted the President to use his newfound support to --- pass all of his domestic policies, and gut Medicare, Social Security, and what little banking regulations were left?

Seems to me that when a man dies and his last wish is "get it done" that you honor his request and fight for what he believed in his name.

Why is it that only Republicans are allowed to be inspired by someone in death? A crass and offensive ploy, to use someone's death against him, to try and destroy what Senator Kennedy called "the cause of my life."

But I expect nothing better from the Republican leadership these days. Certainly I'm not seeing anything better.
